Clunes is blessed with a variety of options for those wishing to take in the relaxed lifestyle and heritage precinct. Whether you're on a weekend country getaway or planning an extended holiday there's plenty to choose from in the area. The Central Victorian Goldfields region is renowned for its hidden hideaways and Clunes is definitely one of them.
Mount Beckworth Scenic Reserve - A lone pine tree stands as a sentinel crowning this picturesque granite outcrop, a sanctuary for native plants and animals. Mount Beckworth Scenic Reserve offers magnificent views and a rich variety of spring wildflowers. The best way to enjoy the park is on foot. A network of tracks links all major features within the reserve. A walk to the summit is rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Other activities that can be enjoyed in the park are picnicing, horse riding and mountain biking.
Tinakori Animal Farm – is a working farm and operates under ‘Bush Tender’ principals. It is surrounded by river red gum country and close to the historic town of Clunes. Walking distance to Mt Beckworth and the Golf Course, an artists paradise, sunset on the Lake - native water birds, fishing on the Lake - cook your own fish, many and varied native birds to watch. Hands on "friendly animals", Kangaroos and wallabies, Emus, deer and pigs, Lambs and calves to feed, Rabbits and their babies, Possums - who like being fed, hundreds of small animals.
The Clunes Bottle Museum – home to the George Lee Medlyn Bottle Collection, has revamped its collection of more than 6000 rare and unusual bottles and features a six-metre fiberglass bottle at its entrance.
Tuki Trout Farm - has a trout fishing facility with spring fed ponds and licensed restaurant; guests are welcome to fish and have complimentary use of rods.
Anderson’s Mill - is a particularly important part of Victoria’s Goldfi eld’s heritage. It draws together so many of the threads that make up the colourful tapestry of the goldrush era. The festival has been conducted for the past 17 years and is a celebration of local foods, wine and music and for 2012 it coincided with the 150th Anniversary of the Mill.
The Arts Centre - housed in the original Union Bank at Clunes which is now a classified heritage building. It's Arts Workshop Facilities cater to Special Interest Groups with a number of Weekend Packages eg, Health, Craft and the Arts.

Mount Beckworth Wines - Mount Beckworth Wines is situated on a small plateau on the east side of the mount and only 6km out from the gold townnship of Clunes. The vineyard was established in 1984, 10 acres in size, and planted with the premium grape varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Classed as a "boutique winery", all wines are handcrafted and made by traditional winemaking methods to achieve complexity and balance. Winning over 73 gold, silver or bronze medals at various Wine Shows, and also the first Ballarat Winery to be awarded a Trophy at the Ballarat Wine Show for best White Table Wine for the region.
Possum Gully Fine Arts Gallery – near Maryborough is an interesting mud brick structure set in a beautiful garden which forms a natural background for the many pieces of garden sculpture. It is also the home of many and varied native bird species. Many and diverse pieces of art including jewellery and close to many fine restaurants.
Interpretative Centre and Museum - The CCIC project will see the Clunes Museum redeveloped and expanded to create the Clunes Community and Interpretive Centre, a multifunctional tourism, heritage and community asset. The building will nearly triple in size from 330 square metres to 985 square metres. The new facility will incorporate:
* A Visitor and Tourist Information Centre, to ensure ready access to these resources in the main street of Clunes and to assist in progressing the Grampians Regional Strategic Plan to ‘position the region’s heritage at a national level’.
* A multifunctional exhibition, activity and event spaces to support a broad range of activities, including cultural exhibitions, training programs, Library and Museum activities and displays. A museum collection and display spaces designed to tell the story of Clunes and surrounds, focusing on how the unique character and streetscapes of Clunes were formed and influenced.
* The relocated Clunes Library to increase the operating capacity of the library, museum and visitor information services, allow for the sharing of resources and skills and address single staffing concerns at the library.
